Boeing Historian Mike Lombardi will speak on:

“Making Dreams into Reality: The Epochal Stories that Define The Boeing Company”

The lecture will be followed by a drinks and buffet reception in the Royal Aeronautical Society’s elegant rooms Admission to the Lecture and subsequent Reception will be at the subsidised rate of £35 per member and £35 for subsequent guests.

Proceeds will go towards sponsoring flying scholarships for disadvantaged young people.

Mr. Michael Lombardi has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from City University of Seattle. He started at Boeing in 1979 and has been the Senior Corporate Historian for the Boeing Company for the last 20 years. He is also the corporate historian for North American Aviation and manager of Boeing Historical Services which includes the company’s historical archives.

Mr. Lombardi is a regular contributor to the Boeing Frontiers magazine and has one book published on the history of Strategic Airpower. He is currently working on a history of Boeing Plant 2 in Seattle. As a spokesperson for Boeing Mr. Lombardi has appeared in documentaries for the Discovery Channel, PBS, Smithsonian Channel, and BBC as well as in Germany, Russia, Japan and China. He is also currently on the board of trustees for Seattle’s Museum of History and Industry.
