128 Piccadilly

London, United Kingdom, W1J 7PY

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Young Aviators’ Dinner will take place on on Saturday 6th April 2019 at The Royal Air Force Club, Piccadilly, London.

The 2019 dinner, co-hosted by the Air League and the Honourable Company of Air Pilots is supported by Boeing UK and has a continued interest to inspire and support younger members from any background in the UK to pursue a career as a professional pilot both military and civil.

This is a unique event for those looking at a career as a professional pilot and gives members of both organisations the opportunity to network and meet airline and military recruiters and representatives. We will welcome the RAF recruitment and air crew selection team, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm recruitment team, the Army Air Corps Recruitment team, as well as recruitment and flight operation representatives from British Airways, easyJet and Virgin Atlantic.

Captain Allister Bridger, Director of Flight Operations for British Airways has confirmed his attendance as our guest speaker for 2019.

Al qualified as a pilot at the age of 17 and has logged over 11,000 hours flying on a variety of military and civilian jet aircraft. Al joined the Royal Air Force in 1985, flying the F4 Phantom II, later becoming a Hawk flying and tactics instructor. Al left the RAF after 10 years of service to become a commercial airline pilot, initially for Air 2000. He joined British Airways in 1997 and he held both training, fleet and technical managerial positions on the Boeing 747 and 737 fleets within British Airways, including Head of Flight Operation Gatwick and Chief Pilot Boeing fleets.

Al joins us as guest speaker at the Young Aviators’ Dinner in 2019, the year British Airways celebrates the centenary if its forerunner company, Aircraft Transport and Travel Limited, who launched the world’s first daily international scheduled flight between London and Paris in August 1919.

The evening will commence at 6:15pm with a welcome reception in The Churchill Bar, followed by a three course dinner in the Sovereigns’ room at 7:00pm.

Dress: suit with tie or cocktail dress.
