Applications open on Tuesday, 2nd of December 2025. Applications close at 11:59pm on Sunday, 22nd of March 2026.
Our Electric Flying Scholarships include 5 hours flying on the Pipistrel Velis Electro, with additional simulator time, ground school and sustainability-focused discussions. The scholarships will be flown with Saxon Air at Norwich Airport across 3-4 days in Summer 2025. Accommodation will be provided to those that do not live in the local area.
You must be aged 16 or older by the 1st of June 2026 to be eligible. You must also not already hold a LAPL, PPL, NPPL, PPL, MPL, CPL or ATPL.
Yes. All applicants must hold an active Air League membership.
The application process is split into two stages.
The first stage is an assessment of your application by two independent members of the scholarship selection committee. You must also complete an online aptitude test with 48 hours of your application. A link to the test will be in your application confirmation email.
If you are successful in the first stage, you will be invited to a second stage interview.
Yes. Interviews will take place across 3 days in late April 2026 in London. Online interviews will be made available to those who are unable to travel to London.
Up to 5 Electric Flying Scholarships will be awarded in 2025.
Yes. This scholarship can be counted towards your PPL hours.
