Join us on Saturday 6th April for the 2024 Young Aviators Dinner, held at the Royal Air Force Club, Piccadilly.

Jointly hosted together with the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, the evening will commence at 6pm with a welcome reception in the President’s Room, followed by a three-course dinner in the Sovereigns’ room.

The Young Aviators Dinner has a continued interest to inspire and support young members from any background in the UK to pursue a career as a military or civilian pilot, or similar roles within the UK’s aviation and aerospace industries. The event is aimed at under 35s. This is a unique event for those looking at a career within aviation and aerospace and gives members of both organisations the opportunity to network and meet airline and military recruiters and representatives. We will welcome recruitment representatives and flight operation representatives from various airlines and the military.

The format of seating arrangements has been improved this year with a new system placing those with similar desired career paths together, with the aim of sparking productive conversation and advice. Each table will feature an experienced representative of a different area of aviation, including commercial, cargo, general aviation, air traffic control, and ground operations. When registering attendance, Members are required to choose their preferred table.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Simon Cheadle, Director of Flight Operations at British Airways, as our keynote speaker for the Young Aviators Dinner this Saturday. Simon has worked for British Airways for 17 years having joined as a cadet pilot on the A320 aircraft in 2007. He is currently an A320 captain having held a number of different training roles on the fleet. His management career has seen him undertake training and people management roles before undertaking his current role of Director of Flight Operations in 2023.

Tickets are now available for Members of both the Air League and the Honourable Company of Air Pilots. Members are entitled to bring one guest each, priced at £65 each.
