The Air League and Affinity Flying Training Services Launch 2024 Engineering Scholarship Programme

The Air League is delighted to announce the launch of the 2024 Engineering Scholarships in partnership with Affinity Flying Training Services!

In this placement, open to UK citizens over the age of 18, Scholars will conduct hands-on work on current projects and will shadow Engineering and Maintenance personnel. This will provide an insight into the career of an aerospace engineer. There are up to 3 placements available, accommodations and meals are included for the 2-week duration, and applications close on the 12th of May 2024.

Affinity is a key partner in the UK Military Flying Training System, which provide a modern, collaborative, and streamlined flying training solution replacing separate fixed wing and rotary training programmes for the RAF, Royal Navy and Army Air Corps. Supporting UK military air capability by playing a key part in the seamless progression of pilots through flight training, Affinity supplies and contracts to Ascent Flight Training to support three fleets of aircraft within the Military Flight Training System; the Grob Prefect 120TP, the Embraer Phenom 100, and the Beechcraft Texan T-6C.

More and more people are considering a career in aerospace engineering. With an ever-expanding aviation industry, demand is increasing for engineers, technicians and maintenance staff to be trained up and join the workforce keeping our skies busy. The Air League and Affinity Flying Training Services are delighted to offer an opportunity for three young people to undertake a rarely offered placement to further your understanding of the aerospace engineering industry and its potential to offer you a long, fulfilling career.
