Flight Path is a new career development programme from The Air League, designed to help aspiring aviation, aerospace and space professionals develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours employers are looking for.

ambition to employment.

Combining personalised development, industry insight, employability training and access to professionals working across the sector, Flight Path is designed to give participants the confidence, experience and competitive edge needed to stand out in highly competitive recruitment and selection processes.

Delivered primarily through a virtual learning platform, the programme makes high-quality career development accessible wherever you live, helping more young people access the support, guidance and opportunities needed to succeed.

No matter where you are on your journey, you’ll gain support to better understand your options, develop your potential and take meaningful steps towards a rewarding career in the industries that inspire you.

We plan to launch Flight Path with two dedicated pathways, designed to support some of the most popular and competitive career routes within the aviation industry. The Flight Path programme will be delivered primarily through an online learning platform, making it accessible wherever participants are based. Through the platform, participants will complete structured learning modules, track their progress, earn certificates and recognition, access additional resources, and take part in live webinars featuring industry professionals, guest speakers and mentors. Designed to fit around education, work and other commitments, the flexible learning experience allows participants to progress at their own pace while building the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to pursue a career in aviation, aerospace or space.

Participants who demonstrate commitment and engagement may also have opportunities to access funded summer schools, scholarships, additional development experiences and exclusive opportunities through The Air League and its partners. Continued engagement with the programme may also be taken into consideration as part of future Air League scholarship applications, helping participants further strengthen their personal and professional development journey.

programme cost

We are working hard to secure funding to make Flight Path as accessible as possible. The anticipated value of the programme exceeds £1,000 per participant, including professional profiling, development workshops, mentoring and employer engagement opportunities. Our current aim is to offer the programme for a one-off contribution of £40, alongside annual Air League membership.

We are also exploring financial assistance options to help ensure cost does not become a barrier to participation.
