Join us on Saturday 25th March for the 2023 Young Aviators’ Dinner!
Jointly hosted together with the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, the event will be held at the Royal Air Force Club, Piccadilly.
We’re delighted to welcome two guest speakers to the 2023 dinner, Captain Malcom Sutherland, Managing Director at TUI Airways, and Captain Allister Bridger, Director of Flight Operations at British Airways.
Malcolm has served as Managing Director of TUI Airlines since July 2021, previously serving as Director of Flight Operations. Prior appointments include senior management and technical positions in Thomas Cook, Virgin Atlantic, and Zoom Airlines.
Under Malcolm’s lead TUI Airways have led the industry with a new Airline Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) Cadet Programme which will see cadet pilots land a job with zero upfront financial commitment.
Al is responsible for the safe and efficient overall operations of British Airways aircraft. Prior to this he held both training, fleet and technical managerial positions on the Boeing 747 and 737 fleets within British Airways including Head of Flight Operation Gatwick and Chief Pilot Boeing fleets. Al joined British Airways in 1997 and operated as a line and training pilot on routes throughout the world. Prior to joining British Airways he was a Captain for Air 2000 operating both scheduled and charter flights throughout Europe and North Africa. Before moving into the airline industry he spent 10 years of service in the Royal Air Force as an air defence combat pilot on the Phantom and qualified as a tactics and flying instructor on the Hawk fast jet.
