We’re delighted to welcome Alice Goodwin, 2024/25 Department for Transport (DfT) Aviation Ambassador and Virgin Atlantic engineer, as she hosts a webinar for Air League members and non‑members alike.

In this session, Alice will reflect on her aviation journey to date, offer valuable insights for anyone considering an engineering career within the industry, and discuss her ambassador role, which champions accessible and future‑focused pathways into engineering and aviation.

Speaker Bio

Alice Goodwin is a 2024/25 DfT Aviation Ambassador and Engineering Manager. As an aviation ambassador she works with the UK government to help deliver a skilled, diverse and sustainable aviation workforce fit to seize the opportunities of the future. In 2025, she was named a Top 50 Woman in Engineering by the Women’s Engineering Society and was awarded a Women in Aviation International scholarship to complete the Emerging Leaders Programme at Harvard University.

Alice is an impassioned public speaker, who promotes science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and devotes much of her time to mentoring and encouraging young people wishing to enter the aviation industry, particularly women and people from backgrounds currently underrepresented in aviation.
