One of our members, Ross Willington is trying to organise a visit to NATS.

At the present moment, this is to collect expressions of interest and not a firm visit.

The visit will be for the end of June or early July on a working day.  It will probably be from 09.00 – 17.00 or similar so that he can show off the Engineering Offices at Whiteley in the morning and then Swanwick Centre in the afternoon.

NATS (National Air Traffic Services) is the UK’s leading provider of air traffic control services. Each year we handle 2.2 million flights and 220 million passengers in UK airspace, in addition to providing services to 14 UK airports and more than 30 countries around the world.  NATS Engineers put together the right combination of technologies to deliver the information our Air Traffic Controllers need, without fail, now and in the future.

This is a trip for the Leading Edge to our Engineering facilities at Whiteley and Air Traffic Control Centre at Swanwick.

This visit would benefit anyone who is interested  in an Air Traffic Control career – as an Engineer or a Controller.

Contact the Air League to express your interest.
