The Air League is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one its distinguished council members, Sir Michael Marshall CBE DL. Sir Michael was a leading figure in the aviation and aerospace industries and made an immense contribution to the Air League.
Sir Michael’s personal commitment to the Air League spans 24 years:
1995 – Joined the Air League as a Council member
1998-2003 – Chairman
2004-2009 – President
2009-2012 – Life vice-president
2012-2019 – Companion of the Air League
Sir Michael’s dedication to the organisation was always characterised by a passion for aviation, good humour, courtesy, leadership and innovation. He will be sorely missed by the Council, Trustees and the membership.
