In order to commemorate the 16th anniversary since the final flight of the last ever concorde, Aston Martin and British Airways have teamed up to create ten DBS Superleggera Concorde Edition cars.
Part of the proceeds for each car will be donated towards the 2020 Air League summer scholarship programme and engineering experience days for young people.
“British Airways and Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd are globally recognised brands that fly the flag for Britain and are synonymouswith its leadership, excellence, distinction and innovation.
The new Concorde Edition DBS Superleggera encapsulates the significance of the aviation and automotive industries to the UK economy and the confluence of technology between the two sectors. The support of British Airways and Aston Martin enables the Air League, through working with Cranfield University, to significantly increase the impact of its scholarships programmes, which contribute to the UK skills agenda by inspiring and enabling future engineers, scientists, innovators and leaders. The exciting programme we are developing with Cranfield University will provide an opportunity for our corporate supporters in their CSR and recruitment programmes.” – Nick West MA FRAeS, Air League Chief Executive.
