The President, Chairman and Council of the Air League are all deeply saddened by the passing of its first royal patron, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

HRH Princess Elizabeth Duchess of Edinburgh bestowed patronage to the Air League in 1947 and was succeeded by HRH The Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh in 1952.
