On 19th-21st July, the Air League inspired the next generation of aviators in the Techno Zone at the Royal International Air Tattoo. The Air League’s programmes, scholarships and bursaries have been enabling young people to start careers in the aviation and aerospace industries since 1909; and we’ve used our platform at the world’s largest military airshow to ensure every attendee was made aware of the opportunities that they can benefit from to help them reach their career goal.

Alongside providing information and advice about flying training and our programmes, we’ve also held an aviation quiz, a glider building activity, and handed out what must have been thousands of stickers!

Our team of volunteers included a glider pilot, air traffic services assistant, commercial pilot and many Air League scholars from past and present: and we connected with young people, cadets, students, parents and teachers from across the country using engaging assets on stand to talk all things aviation. A highlight was meeting an Air League Scholar from the 1980s who came to visit us on stand!

The Air League Trust would like to thank India, Dipeet, Hannah, Brandon-Scott, Josef, Mubashar, Danny and Gareth for their exceptional hard work and dedication across the weekend to show the public the support that the Air League offers to strengthen the future of the UK’s aviation industry.
