The Air League has been recognised by the Department for Transport for achievement of service to the aviation sector in a letter from David Harding, Deputy Director, General Aviation, Safety, Skills and CAA.

Recognition was paid to the impact that programmes such as Soaring to Success and Project Slingshot have had on young people, and how the Air League inspires future generations from across society to carry the torch of UK aviation.

The Department for Transport also highlighted the importance of our Annual Reception and events such as the Empowering Women in Aviation event that are crucial for linking grassroots aviation to senior level thinking, and how the Air League is setting the standard of service to which all those of those working in the sector should aspire.
