The Air League welcomes the Cabinet’s decision to endorse Heathrow expansion and the publication of the National Policy Statement in Parliament. With the plans going to a vote, the onus is now on the MPs and we call upon all politicians – at local, regional and national level – to recognise the significance of Heathrow’s importance to the UK’s future prosperity and make the decisions needed to protect and enhance the UK’s long-term position as an international trade hub.
