On Wednesday, 18th December, The Air League hosted its inaugural Christmas reception – for the new Media, Marketing and Communications Network, with the support of Airbus, 2Excel Aviation Ltd, Shephard Media, Marontech Communications, The Aerospace Media Dinner and Chamois.

The reception took place at No. 4 Whitehall Court, and saw guests come together to engage and network with others from different areas of the industry. A key reason for initiating this network is that there are these days, very rare opportunities to bring together the whole of the marketing, Comms, public affairs and CSR communities in the aviation and aerospace industries. There has always been a large degree of overlap between aviation and aerospace and after speaking to a number of people from the industry, we decided to expand its scope and aim to include more disciplines within communications and reputation management. Coupled with a number of changes in the publishing and business information landscape in recent years, the intention is to be more inclusive and to create a better sense of collaboration between journalists, commentators, industry analysts and publishers, as well as communications, marketing, public affairs and CSR professionals. The later part of the evening welcomed presentations from former No. 10 Brexit spokesperson, Matthew O’Toole, and author, journalist and founder of GearUp.TV, Liz Moscrop.

The Air League would like to thank its supporters, guests and speakers for making our final event of 2019 a success and we look forward to seeing our partners at this year’s events.
