In its second year of running, The Air League and SES Satellites are delighted to announce Rosie Wilson and Sam Ross as the winners of the 2019 Space Scholarship.

This scholarship will see 18 year olds Rosie and Sam spend a week at the residential Space School UK, which began on Saturday, 27th July 2019. Some of the upcoming activities will include a visit to the National Space Centre, group exercises for small rocket building and indoor skydiving.

On winning the scholarship, Rosie commented: ‘I’m very excited for Senior Space School, and can’t wait to get stuck into the activities and lectures!’

Sam, who hopes to be studying Engineering at Cambridge University in September 2019, added: ‘I cannot wait to attend Senior Space School and try my hand at some of the theoretical and practical elements of both space science and engineering. I’m particularly keen to have a go at model rocketry!’

We look forward to following their progress with more images and videos to follow soon.
