The Air League is delighted to announce its first ever Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation Course (APS MCC) Scholarship, sponsored by Skyborne Airline Academy.

In May 2019, Skyborne Airline Academy launched the UK’s first Boeing 737 MAX APS MCC, with the purpose of significantly boosting the employability prospect of its cadets. The Scholarship gives the two successful candidates a 50% discount.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved course will take place over three weeks at Skyborne’s training centre, located at Gloucestershire Airport, and will include the following:

  • 28 hours of Theoretical Knowledge Instruction and practical scenario-based training
  • 40 hours (10 days) of simulator training in Skyborne’s Boeing 737 MAX FTD simulator
  • Personal Study Guide covering normal and non-normal checklist management, Standard Operating Procedures and briefing guidance
  • Airline Selection preparation training

CEO of Skyborne Airline Academy, Lee Woodward, said:

“At Skyborne we are passionate about improving access to pilot training so the very best cadets can thrive as commercial pilots, regardless of their background or financial status.

Through the Skyborne APS MCC scholarship, in partnership with the Air League, we will provide cadets with the highest standard of pilot training, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and attitude to commence initial type rating training with an airline.”

CEO of the Air League, Nick West, added:

“The Air League makes an important contribution to the aviation industry and this new partnership with Skyborne enables us to offer the broadest portfolio of scholarships in the sector.”
