Join the Air League on Thursday 19th October for an exclusive familiarisation of air cargo handling facilities at Heathrow Airport. In partnership with Heathrow Airport Limited, Worldwide Flight Services and Singapore Airlines, the visit will allow Air League Members an opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes operations of the UK’s busiest air cargo hub airport.

The day will begin with an introduction to the air cargo industry and a workshop discussion on career opportunities, presented by the Heathrow Academy and Cargo Team, allowing you to explore the wide range of opportunities provided by Heathrow’s cargo community. This will progress to a tour of Worldwide Flight Services’ warehouse facility in the heart of Heathrow’s Cargo Terminal, to gain an understanding of the import and export goods process. The day will conclude by an airside visit of a Boeing 747 freighter aircraft on the apron.

The event will begin at 3pm and is expected to end at around 10pm. You must be aged 18-22, an Air League Member (for a minimum of 4 months from the day of the event) and a British Citizen with a valid British Passport and a UK address to attend. You should also have an interest in pursuing a career in aviation cargo operations.

Places are extremely limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note that you must be able to travel to and from Heathrow for this event and the Air League is unable to assist with any travel costs. As places are extremely limited, ensure you can attend the event before signing up. All applicants will be required to undergo Security Vetting by Heathrow Authorities.
