The Air League will be hosting it’s 5th instalment of Leaders, Pioneers and Professionals on the 11th August 2020 at 17.00 via Facebook Live.

This episode will feature Sion Roberts and Kevin Taylor who will give us an overview of the usage of drones across various industries, especially in Policing where dedicated drone units are now becoming common place to help with crime prevention and detection.

About Sion

Sion Roberts is the CEO of EEI & RUSTA which was founded in 2014. This was after 22 years in the Royal Air Force. Sion started his flying career as a Weapons Systems Operator on the venerable Nimrod MR2 Maritime Patrol Aircraft before moving to the USA to operate the MQ9 Reaper as an operator and later with the USAF, as an instructor.

Sion started flying SUAS in 2013 and formed EEI/RUSTA in 2014. Since then RUSTA has trained over 2500 operators worldwide to successfully operate SUAS in emergency services and commercial roles.

About Kevin

Kevin joined RUSTA back in November 2018. Coming from a Policing and aviation background, Kevin brings extensive experience and flying skills to the team. Kevin is a senior instructor at RUSTA.  Kevin is well versed in all aspects of SUAS and as well as being senior instructor at RUSTA he also leads the Lincolnshire Police Drone team which has operated SUAS operationally since 2017.
